Huttopia Les Châteaux

Site in a good location with decent, clean facilities. Unfortunately not secure. Several people, including us, had camping chairs and tables stolen last night. Luckily our bikes were locked up. The entrance barrier, which is supposed to be disabled at 11pm, can be lifted one handed far enough to get a car beneath and no security cams on the gate. Staff unhelpful and refuse to report things to the police despite multiple thefts from their premises. Despite the manager's reply there was no offer of help with reporting the matter, nor did management approach us (or the other guests who had items stolen despite our request to do so. Total failure in customer care Not a site I would return to and one that does not speak well for the Huttopia brand.

Stayed for 2 weeks of our 3 week holiday at the start of September and loved it. We’ve been here before so knew what to expect. Love the pitches-we opted for a shaded pitch in our motorhome as the sun was quite hot. Clean showers and toilets. Bracieux has all the little shops you need. Cycling great! We went out and about most days. Chambord obviously a big attraction and again doesn’t disappoint. Wish we could have stayed for the final week but we had a long leisurely drive home. 2023 review; Lovely visit again, lots of cycling, great food etc. Only complaint this time was the Motorhome service area. The toilet dump is right next to the fresh water hose and although the toilet area has its own hose people are happy to loop the ‘dirty’ hose over the fresh water hose or leave both dragging on the floor where the waste water is dumped.These facilities need updating especially with the amount of motorhomes using the site.
